Practice together, grow together and experience aliveness together.
In the following video I will answer some of the important questions about the
Hamburg Movement Group.
You have currently 3 options to join us in class.
The model of the group facilitates an environment for individuals to be supported optimally in their quest for growth.
The group rests on three pillars, together building the environment for the practice.
Everyone participating is supported in their individual practice with additional practice material and homework.
The group is a community supporting each other in class as well as outside. Together we practice, together we grow. Weekly the group practices together and works on the current projects.
We share the progress and the struggles everyone will inevitably experience, and offer support to one another. This ensures that everyone stays committed and we all enjoy the journey together.
We make sure there is a strong support network, recognising that staying motivated and committed is not easy and requires a nurturing environment to persist. The group is a tribe, we struggle together, have fun together and grow together.
To be a part of the group the participants are required show a certain level of commitment to the group and their own practice. For those eager to learn more and willing to invest more time, there are options to dive even deeper into the movement perspective.
Being a part of the community means contributing to it. Being there fully, engaged and committed. Taking the work seriously. Adding your own insights and reflections to the group by communicating openly and constructively. Use your own experiences to aid others development.
Ask questions, think critically and reflect upon the done, to bring forth the group development.
No prior experiences are needed, nor is a certain level of skill.
It is only about an open mind and the willingness to explore and be involved!
What do we do exactly?
Firstly, we do what is meaningful to us. Exploring movement and through it ourself, is central to the work.
To truly know what it is we are doing however, it needs to be experienced.
In short we move a lot, constantly thrive to learn and become more diversely capable and adaptable.
We adopt a mindset of practice that we take with us into our daily life.
In the practice we expose ourself to diversity and go after aliveness, after truly rich experiences.
We do this though exposing ourself to challenge, struggle and the new and unknown in a proactive way. For we realise it is the only way to truly learn and to develop the mind and the body.
We develop a body that is adaptable and able to move in all environments, to be generally capable. To understand how to navigate our body in space.
Learn to move well, all around, but not only that, understand how we move and be able to express ourself through movement.
To develop the mind, learn to think, to build awareness, and to make the right decisions in life. Through it all we build our character.
Exploring and practicing movement is our way of approaching this quest.
